Application
OX-301 is used as a low foam carrier employed in potassium chloride zinc electroplating, mainly used in barrel plating. It has excellent resistance to high temperature as well as salt, and it has strong dispersibility and throwing power, especially at low current density areas.
OX-301 is also used in chemical additives for organic surfactants.
Anionic surfactant and carrier
OX-301 is an anionic, it is also well-substituted as RALUFON® NAPE 14-90  low foaming surfactant without a cloud point. As a sulfonate OX-301 is stable against hydrolysis over a wide pH range.
OX-301 is used in acid zinc baths as solubiliser for the brightener and as a carrier.
OX-301 increases the cloud point of the bath and forming a bright coating in the medium and low current densities especially. Usually OX-201 is combined with non ionic surfactants.
